making gen 3 teams for the frontier after i beat the main story , im making this post cause i dont have any friends irl that like pokemon as much as me
im mainly into rpgs but i dabble in some fighting games and a little bit of league of legends but other than that. i really like final fantasy series , resident evil , fire emblem im trying to get into digimon rn and i started watching the viewtiful joe anime for fun. im also just starting getting into running if anyone else is into fitnesss. cx
While I do not like the current direction of the series and havent bought a new game since usum with the exception of rescue team dx. I do still consider myself a fan of the series,
so what you want to do for the hoenn battle frontier is generally have 3 roles for the team, your attacker, your tank, and your support mon.
attacker hits fast and hard
tank can outlast the oppent and can recover hp
and support mon helps out the other two with moves like reflect, lightscreen, etc. as well as covering some holes in the othersmoveset
also make sure all 3 have a move that can do damage to shedinja, please trust me on that, you are bound to come across one eventually and nothing is worse than having a 19 win streak ruined because you had no moves that can damage a shedinja.
now as for specific facilities:
-the battle factory is the most accessable because you dont need to train(or pkhex in if you are playing an emulator) any mons of your own
-the battle tower and dome are your standard facilities that are just a gauntlet of battles
-the battle arena is kinda like a pokemon contest that requires you to do certain things so you will probally have to change up your movesets. (or just go all in on attack and speed and kill everything super quick, but thats not a guarentee to work)
-the battle pike is luck based, but can still be overcome with skillful play
-the battle palace sucks ass, skip it
-the battle pyramid is completely different from everything above, you should approach it like you would a particularly long dungeon in final fantasy or dragon quest. Prioritize survivability and pick your battles wisely
also fire emblem, resident evil, and final fantasy are dope, love all 3
