Interesting. Tell me more...No beating Sho Fumimura writing nor Ryoichi Ikegami drawings. Very close to perfection

Which work (only one allowed) outside of the mainstream appeals to you so much that it surpasses any current or past trends?

If you're used to picking up your phone while watching, don't. The dialogue avoids redundancy unlike most anime, so you need to pay attention so you don't miss the character development (and if that highly hyped fight episode still affects you, stay away).View attachment 201061
oh man its been so long since ive seen this one let alone someone talk about it, i honestly dont remember much except the heavy spoilers of how it concluded, do you think its still worth a rewatch even with that in mind?
Is it a comedy with horror elements?View attachment 201066
Haven't seen anyone yet mentioning the legendary "The Laughing Salesman" Series from 1989. One of the best dark comedy anime series I've ever watched if not THE best. Fun fact: The original voice actor voiced also Darth Vader in the Japanese Dub of Star Wars, among other characters that I can't recall atm.
Ok, that gif without context has already convinced meFor me, Irresponsible Captain Tylor.

This game comes to mind. It's easily one of the scariest and fucked up games I've ever played.
It's got such a strong atmosphere and that alone puts it above most horror games today, to the point where it's really scary even before there's any combat or threat against the player; just being in this game's world is endlessly unnerving. Highly recommended for fans of Lovecraft too, the imagery translates remarkably well in these old 3D graphics.
It looks like it's gonna be a sad movie (I don't wanna cry)Mine must be Night on the Galactir Railroad, a "Cute" movie about cats that deals with grief, loneliness, misfortune and what happines and being alive is
