Was wondering about if anyone had played this, or if it was on anyone else's radar?
I've been in the mood lately for another cozy game, and I think the physical Switch version drops next week.

So, if anyone was interested, I did pick this game up a few days ago. It's more or less what I was expecting:
-Pretty cozy and easy to lose a few hours in
-A main story and side quests to unlock more clothing options, items and train upgrades
-Repeatable mail deliveries to get more materials for crafting
-Character customisation, although a bit more limited than I was expecting
-Some of the design can be a pain. Like, a few of the ways to change and customize your train have maybe one step too many. Like having to manually take everything out of a train cart that you want to replace before replacing it.

I've never tried any of these cozy games such as Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing but life has been pretty stressful lately so I'm thinking of giving it a try.

I'm just not sure if I would actually enjoy it though...

They can be repetitive, and a little bit boring sometimes, but that sort of adds to the appeal for me.

Like, it can be pretty soothing riding from town to town in my train in Locomoto. Delivering mail & passengers, while fulfilling side quests. Or you can just ignore that and focus on the story.

Or from island to island in my boat in something like Summer in Mara. Exploring each island to find new stuff to plant and grow back home.

Maybe check if any have a demo available, or even if any interesting ones are on sale. Could also look for or start a thread and see what cozy games people recommend if you're not sure.

Yeah, I'll look for a demo and if I don't find any I might just start a thread.
Would be my first thread actually, aside from my introduction...

Dragon Quest Builders might be a good place to start too if you're interested. It's like Minecraft, but with Dragon Quest stuff. It's not 100% cozy, because it does still have combat and RPG mechanics, but I find it blends the two game styles well enough.

As a Switch physical collector I always appreciate being exposed to new games like this.
Funnily enough, you do swap out and change your carriages by interacting with a miniature train set hehe Yeah, it looked fun and was a pretty cheap physical game. Considering the price of most new games! Really enjoying it so far.

I think it is on sale quite often too so yeah, it wasn't a priority before as there are still a few DQ I need to own but I'll make it one so I can test the waters.

Thanks!
