Before getting a official (revamped) release for the SEGA Genesis, Cosmic Spacehead was released as this version, unlicensed, for the NES. Really cool mash-up of different playing styles here!

Oh, you mean "Quattro Adventure"?
Whoa, yes, exactly! That's crazy I haven't seen this since I was a kid.
I don't think I ever really paid attention to the name. I always just kinda remembered it as the game with the weird gold cartridge.

Man, I totally forgot about that weird little character. I had this (or some game with him in it) on a multicart as a kid. I think my mom might have bought it off QVC lol

Haven't played this, but I'm aware that it was ported to many platforms.
OK. After playing through BOTH the NTSC release and the PAL release, I definitely recommend playing the PAL version due to it implementing a couple improvements.
• Linus (or Cosmic in EU) can now control his jumps in midair during platform segments! No more "Castlevania"-esque stiffness lol! His speed and jump height were also raised a bit.
• You now find these Password items spread throughout the world. Upon picking them up, you get a password.

• Linus also moves faster on the overworld map screens as well as on the trash compactor robot's conveyor belt.

As for the more cosmetic stuff, well...
• There's a new title screen + splash screen. That's it lol.
