Boo Man
Master of the Universe
Anyone play light gun games these days?
and how do you play them?!
i still have a G-con45, Time Crisis and PS1
BUT the old light guns wont work on modern LCD TV's and i cant find an old CRT anywhere..
so i got something called a Sinden Light Gun that works on LCD
It was kinda hard to get it into my country with our strict gun laws haha
i wasn't able to get black or grey so i got blue which is fine
there is even a "shotgun" form factor available but there is no way i could get that one in XD
Its not exactly plug & play but it works how it should straight out of the box on its own software
but the biggest trouble is getting it to work with emulators what a nightmare!
some of it is seriously off-putting, apparently for Pcsx2 you have to make AHK scripts to assign buttons to the gun
and retroarch wouldn't work if it was already installed before the guns software which confused me up for a long time & thats just some of the problems I've run into so far.. there is alot of "trial and error" involved and each game works differently so requires its own settings
but yeah once its working correctly its so fun!
it works by putting a white boarder around your monitor and there is a camera inside the barrel of the gun so it can see where exactly to put the crosshair within the boarder. its surprisingly accurate as long as your in a dark room.
so what are your favorite light gun games? im a big fan of the Point Blank series
