The Man in the Box
The two Terminator films were excellent, as many people know. 3, Salvation, Dark Fate? Don't know what you're talking about, buddy! Sadly, it's games have been pretty much all shit. There are a couple exceptions though.
Terminator 2: Judgment Day for the arcade/Genesis was a big favorite as a kid. The arcade version was the best, but I owned the Genesis port and it was still a fun time. I never once made it past the truck level though. Apparently it's well known for being brutal as hell.
Terminator: Resistance would be my second choice. It was a AA game for sure, but that's not a bad thing. I think there should be more AA games being made. That said, it still wasn't an amazing game, but it felt a lot more faithful than any other Terminator game I've ever played.
Ultimately, both are kinda mid tier games, but they weren't shit! That's... something. I hope some day we'll get a Terminator game that'll fit into the vibe of the series like Alien: Isolation did. That wasn't a perfect game either, but it got the vibe down perfectly. It's also one of the only horror games I haven't beaten yet because it's friggen scary and intense. >.> Horror doesn't usually get to me, but Alien: Isolation did. I guess it was the feeling of cat and mouse, never being safe and the alien's (in?)famous AI.
There is also Future Shock and Skynet for DOS. I've never played them, but they look super neat. Civvie 11 did a video on them, check it out if you have the time and/or interest.
