Everybody brings to the table the same games while discussing Licensed games: Goldeneye N64, Ducktales, Batman Arkham, however everybody has their unique experiences, so i'd like to know wich licensed game you cherish the most

Doraemon: Giga Zombie no Gyakushu is a pretty neat NES/Famicom RPG, based in one of the dozens of movies of the Cosmic cat, this time you, with the avatar of a kid Doraemon drops trying to escape the villian must help Doraemon with a interesting Time travel mechanic, the OG intro is adapter excelently to chiptune

Epic Mickey definitivelly are Love-it-or-hate-it category, while the story and music are solid, i admit controls (ESPECIALLY the camera) and some level design isn't as polished, i still enjoyed the trek to the Cartoon Wasteland

Over the Hedge on Gamecube boast a great score, creative level design, unlockables to the brim and a story that uniquely to the "Recreate the film and just in case use the movie's unused draft for filler) trend and instead gives us the unofficial sequel the movie could have some work

Coraline (The DS version, not the mid PS2 versions) is an adventure visual novel hybrid that captures the movie's atmosphere while having its own beats

But the crown's jewel must go to Astro Boy: Omega Factor on GBA, not only an adaptation of the titular manga (the 2003 version specifically) but also to all of Ozamu Tezuka's work integrating the characters organically within a great challenge with slight upgrading mechanics

The Ubisoft TMNT game for GBA of all things, very fun beat-em-up, great sprite work too, as well as a soundtrack that was good

Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith for GBA is also another good beatemup with some great spritework

Batman Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight(fight me), plenty has already been said about them, the combat is super engaging and the integration of gadgets into gameplay for traversal and combat works so well. Not to mention the predator encounters.

Spiderman PS4: iT rEaLlY mAkEs YoU fEeL lIkE sPiDeRmAn , ok but actually swinnign around the city was so great i think i only used fast travel a couple of times in that game

oh huh!! i never knew the DS coraline was an adventure game! that's killer! epic mickey is also really cool and atmospheric, even if the gameplay is a little rocky.

hmm,, does Gregory Horror Show Soul Collector for PS2 count? it's an adventure game based on the horror comedy anime(?) Gregory Horror Show, where you go around collecting the souls of the inhabitants of the Gregory House. it's really fun and faithful to the source material, it's even made by Capcom!

i think Spongebob Battle For Bikini Bottom is one that a lot of people talk about, but it's for good reason. i didn't really grow up with spongebob (or tv at all for that matter, since i didn't have cable), and i didn't grow up with the game either. yet, when i played it in 2020, i got SUPER into it and had a great time. a lot of people say that fans of BFBB are clouded by nostalgia, but i guess im proof that that's not the case.

i guess Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei counts, it's an NES RPG based on the sci-fi horror novels of the same name by Aya Nishitani. it's really funny to me that the entirety of the Megaten series, including Persona, only exists because of a licensed NES dungeon crawler based on some books.

Snoopy Concert is a really unique one, it's a point and click adventure game based on the Peanuts comics and TV specials. they did a fantastic job translating the visual style of Charles Schulz to the SNES, and the music was done by Hip Tanaka, most well known for working on the Earthbound soundtrack. it's probably one of my favorite SNES games, though it is really weird how it's a Japan exclusive... there's a fan translation done by our lord and savior Aeon Genesis, but it's still weird all the same.

I don't play many but I was always interested in SpongeBob the Movie. It's CRIMINAL how hard the music goes. Turn The Tables on Plankton may be one of the greatest final boss themes of all time, not to mention the level themes that are a range of emotions. My favourite being Bubble Blowing Baby Hunt. The downer are how boring the other boss themes are though.

Also if it counts, Journey to Silius was almost a Terminator game and it's pretty fun.

I also really like Black Rock Shooter: The Game, now that I reminded myself of that, I gotta put it on GoG Dreamlist cause I would do anything for a port

forgot Megami Tensei was also licensed

If you've ever got some people around who want a gaming experience that is competitive while being as low-impact and relaxing as possible, mary-kate and ashley :Sweet 16 - Licensed to Drive is the game for you. It's surprisingly serviceable as a bootleg Mario Party, or at least better than one might expect.

8/16-bit Disney games in general, especially those involving Mickey and/or Donald are some of my most cherished: the Illusion series, both on the Master System and Megadrive, The Lucky Dime Caper, Deep Duck Trouble (SMS), Quackshot (MD).

Oh yeah, Mickey’s Magical Quest used to be my jam. Killer soundtrack, cause Capcom.

This is gonna be a hot take but:

Pretty decent god of war clone, the only bad thing is that uses the movie likeness unlike the wii version that uses a more better artstyle (just like the one in the animated series)

I have it on the 360 😅. I Always liked how the game uses in the plot the other lanterns corporations unlike the movie. And also the game in spain have the voices of the latin dub of the Justice league series, that's why I bought it 😅

Yo epic, in the Arkham game they also use the dub of the justice league.

I am one of those people who think the Sega Genesis version of Disney's Aladdin is better than the Super Nintendo version like not everything Capcom make is great like Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop...especially when you realized its just a bland Resident Evil 4 game with a Dead Rising skin.

Konami's TMNT/Tiny Toon Adventures games
Sega and Capcom's Disney games
Hamtaro games on Gameboy Advance
Ghostbusters on Sega Genesis and Xbox 360
Home Alone on Sega Genesis is an underrated gem
Dragonball Origins on NDS
Superman arcade game by Taito (Yes, there is a Superman arcade game that's really good.)
Batman on NES and Sega Genesis by Sunsoft

I loved Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. Sure, it's a bit rough nowadays, but I loved the platforming and the fist fighting. I'm not sure if Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis counts, since it was made by LucasArts (which fell under the LucasFilms umbrella in the 90's) but I cherish that game to this day.

For something more modern, Robocop: Rogue City is the perfect Robocop game. Despite it's small scope, it really did feel like you were walking through the Detroit from the movies and the way you dispatched punks with the Auto9 just felt right.

The fullmetal alchemist games, quite a few of them tell their own original stories. The ps2 one’s have original animated cutscenes . It’s really adorable how Alphonse collects cats and attacks with them on the GBA

“Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable”(for the psp) I love how it expands the story, the game play is fun, the visuals for the Labyrinth are interesting, doing a good job of interpreting the ones from the anime. I really love getting to see all original content, like the girls witch designs and Labyrinths, how each of them get their own story path, getting to see more interactions between them.

“Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front” for the ps2 I find really interesting and fun.

I really prefer when licensed tell their own story instead of copying the original one, especially when they mainly use screenshots for the graphics.

Simpsons Hit & Run, although it has some missions that are infuriating.

The Thing, my favorite horror game, from my favorite movie.

I played the Beavis and Butthead Snes game a lot with my dad back in the day.

I also like the Lego games, especially the LOTR and Star Wars ones.
