Yeah... For future reference (seeing as this is the second time this happened today): think of the forum as a moody, 17-year-old part-time worker who's solely working here to buy an electric guitar or something. It's gonna do his damn job... when he feels like it lol.

Hello, I just wanted to make a suggestion:

I feel like being a basic Ko-fi supporter should boost you to Level 1.

I thought I was going crazy when all the perks from Level 1 were pulled from me, and I was unable to DM a mod about it. Even though I havent made it to 25 posts yet, I have my hands in multiple projects IRL and I dont get to post regularly.

But again, I can show my support by supporting the community financially (aka "sharing my spoils of war from Corporate America"), which should grant me the basic perks at the very least.

Also, if you were to offer the styles from higher levels through Ko-fi donations, I would be happy to spend my money, knowing that it would go to supporting our awesome community. Please consider it.

I'm thinking maybe you guys can get the perks of lvl 7 but still participate in leveling up with post count.
Or maybe that would make it all more confusing. And we'll get questions like "why am I not lvl 7". No nevermind. This is fine lol.

I still wished that posting on profiles were a way to level up, seeing how it's second to being active on the forums but in a different way. I can kinda get why, as it incectivizes others to actually use the forum, but a little less of the count could be a better alternative than getting none.

Hey I'm a newer poster who occasionally shows up lmfao I really like retro games especially Grand Theft Auto, Silent Hill, Kingdom Hearts and a few others and I don't get it?? How do you actually start to level up because most of these threads say "you have insufficient privileges to reply here."

Unless I missed something, you can post everywhere except these 4 places as level 0:

• Suggestions (req: lvl 1)
• Writers Guild (req: lvl 1)
• General Discussion (req: lvl 2)
• Forum Games & Chatter (req: lvl 2)

Currently there's no path for users to add games directly to the repo.

@OVERLORD_NESH yes this is true if you want something added go to downloads subforum and make a thread with download and then hopefully a curator will add it. I’ve been adding a lot of roms to the repo lately so I can definitely if I have free time and it’s a small rom like 4th gen and below or something like gba or below if it’s something bigger it’ll take me longer so just a heads up, OVERLORD_NESH. When did you level up? If less than an hour ago, then the system hasn't done its "sweep" yet.

Logging out and then back on usually also helps.

I thought I'd be able to participate in those past level 0, but it seems like I still need to level up once more! Yesterday I went to level 1, thanks anyway! :)

Actually... I just checked.

You joined very recently, and those boards open to accounts that have been around at least a month.

I know that it's very disappointing to hear, but we had to set it up that way due to stuff happening in there a few months back.
