I liked the first three (Borderlands 1 + 2 and The Pre-Sequel) quite a bit. I found them funny and enjoyable looter shooters (even if Borderlands 2 has plenty of moments where the annoying side of the humor overtakes the fun, it's still mostly hilarious and not annoying experience IMO).
Borderlands 3 fixed the niggling gameplay issues and absolutely ruined the story by doubling down on the most annoying, cringe aspects of its sense of humor and made it an annoying experience. No idea about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands or Borderlands 4 other than 4 apparently turned into a Far Cry-alike, dropped the humor entirely and has really terrible DLC.
It's sad, Borderlands used to be one of my favorite franchises and now I wish it would just go away and die so that I don't have see Randy Pitchford's douchey ass talking about how all true gamers are apparently the kind of rich, vapid turds who can afford the overpriced shiny new things like the next Grease Excretion from Gearbox to fill the void in their pointless lives.
