in 2015 they made a game called fire emblem fates
my life was forever changed for the worse

To make a custom character that I can use ingame! You don't need to really know much about the game, how the mechanics work, or even have a 3ds! just follow along and you could have the chance to have a starring role in one of Nintendo's strangest titles
For this group play though, I've decided to make a relatively normal looking corrin. I've decided to name him Kamui (Corrin's japanese name) because referring to him in particular when literally everybody is a corrin would be nightmarish. I spun a wheel to get a random class and I ended up with spear fighter of all things, not normally one I'd pick for my MC but hey whatever, Spear Master is pretty good I guess and rend heaven is a nice skill. To compliment this I went with +Dexterity (What they call the skill stat in later games, not to be confused with class skills, ugh) and -Luck because luck doesn't do a ton honestly.
If you didn't know, Corrin DOES start with kind of a defined build, being slightly more tuned toward being a fast physical attacker than magically focused stats
With variable stat growths depending on your boon/bane
Noticably, these aren't all equal, with magic, Skill, and Luck giving the biggest changes
That said, corrin can do just about anything. Don't be like me and make the mistake of going -Res, because despite what you'd think, Fates has more enemy mages than probably any other FE game.
This first big trunk of the game doesn't actually have the option for us to pick around a party yet so really this first chunk is just going to be my main character beating the **** out of everyone around him.
So, for this first batch of small levels I will provide a quick synopsis of what went on what's happening in the story and what level ups I'm getting so you can understand what the game play is like even if you haven't played the game before
PROLOGUE: TUTORIAL DREAMS
We open on a dream sequence of Kamui here in a descisive battle!
These enemies are kind of chumps, but nothing we can't handle by using a Dual Strike. Any 2 characters next to each other will attack together, although the supporting unit will do halved damage. Thats about it!
CHAPTER 1: FIGHTING FOR FAKE
Corrin has to fight his big brother Xander, although he's not much of a threat
He even gives us a heal tile using his Dragon Vein. How thoughtful!
The first level up of many! More strength means more physical damage, and by the end of the game we're gonna need a lot of that. Dex is also nice, as it dictates both Chance to Hit and Chance to Crit. I like having good accuracy, and crits are really nice in this game.
"Man, if there's anything I love, it's being with my precisely four siblings together forever!"
CHAPTER 2: KILLING PEOPLE IS GOOD(?)
Corrin gets summoned to his EvilDad's bachelor pad
"Kamui! Killing people is not only good, but also cool! you should do it"
"Bro what"
"Take my evil wizard sword and kill these hostages I found. have fun lmao"
What a standup guy! I'm sure he has my best interests in mind
Kamui is accompanied by some non-corrins. What a shame! We can use these guys until we unlock the castle in chapter 7, and hence full access to the Corrin Cloning Cascade
Using the glowy symbol on the floor, we can make some healing tiles to keep us in ship shape. Right on!
Kamui gets a decent level off the first wave of enemies. Any level with strength or speed is fine by me
These goons are powerless before the mighty Evil Wizard Sword, ganglari!
these ninjas are no match for Corrin's sexy grandpa
Rinkah goes down to a perfect damage dual strike
my life was forever changed for the worse
