The only official and fan translations I see needing any descriptive arguments attached to them are poor quality AI generated ones, and even they are not common enough to warrant any of this shit.

I would lean toward calling those localizations.

Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast was completely rewritten. It's still an awesome localization regardless of hypothetically pissing off hardcore weeb purists.
