One of the most difficult Platformer games played in both the Arcade, FC/NES and GBC versions.

I played that version and it's based on the FC/NES version both playably and visually (despite the remarkable reduced field of view) but unlike the FC/NES version it has a more stable and fluid Frame Rate, has a revamped Soundtrack and has password support, although this GBC version was made by Digital Eclipse instead of Micronics.

the famicom version is a nightmare I hear the nes version is abit easier

Not only yours: my version on Atari-ST, probably had an even increased difficulty...

Yep! And it wasn't that bad: if I remember correcly, you had to use Mikey to explore underground mazes and rescue his friends.
I also had it on C64
