Legend of Zelda NC25 Graphics Tweaks This is a ROM hack made to enhance the graphics of the Legend of Zelda, while still maintaining the game's artstyle to an extent. Changes include: Link's sprites/palette - Based on his design used in the original box art of the game. Zelda's sprites - Based on her design used in promotional art of the game. The Redux hack hosted on this repo will do just fine (just tested). Then grab the NC25 patch and patch Redux with it. The download here is vanilla LoZ rev1 with NC25 applied, which works enough to show the ground patterns, but break things.

Another bit of a clarification: when I mentioned optional patches, I meant that if you patch a vanilla ROM to Redux, that package comes with optional patches (change low health sound, and something else), and they don't affect NC25 working or not.

Thank you so much! Got a properly working copy now!

Any help on where to find the proper ROM? I have about 10 different versions of Zelda on my PC and none of them can apply the patch to look like your correct version.

Patch applied to wrong ROM (from the looks) on 'Zelda 1 Redux NC25 GFX (v0.1)', the standard graphics variant (didn't check the playable Zelda one). The hearts and map should be as shown in my first pic, but the hearts and map are in the wrong position, and the hearts are bugged when you lose health when playing this download as shown in second pic.

Applied NC25 patch to Zelda Redux hack with 2 of its optional patches in place as well, so that doesn't have any impact on NC25 working.
