Exactly as the title says. I've been recently learning Japanese, and while things have been smooth so far, I take waay too long when it comes to reading.
I figured playing visual novels in Japanese would be a nice way to practice my reading abilities while also learning new words.
I'm currently playing through Tokimeki Memorial right now, but I'm open to any suggestions! I'm fine with anything =)

JPDB has a list of VNs ranked by difficulty of reading along with resources for each of them
out of the easier ones on the list i'd recommend

Thanks a bunch! Will definitely check these out =)

One of the first I read was Shizuku back when I was 15, it took me a long time due to my at the time lack of jp grammar knowledge but the game is pretty short clocking at most a 6-7hr read for a native, though be warned the game is 18+. Alternativley there's ToHeart PSE (port of PS1 ver, all ages) by the same company which is more slice of life focused ala Tokimeki Memorial, I haven't finished it but the dialogue is very every day type of feel.

And not a VN, but just as a throw in, Pokemon is a pretty good series to play in Japanese since the dialogue is written in mind to be understood by younger audiences so you won't run into complex Kanji you'd might encounter in series like SMT, Kiseki, or Final Fantasy. Plus I think the later games as well have furiganan when they start implementing Kanji.

Thanks a bunch! I'll look into playing Pokemon in Japanese then =)
