Hello I have been developing a homebrew called Lair of the Dragon. Its a rouglelike that takes inspiration from Classic Final Fantasy and Dungeon's and Dragons.
Runs are short typically 20-40 mins. I am almost done with it and am looking for a few people to test it. Check out the videos below and let me know what you think and if your interested in testing it.

Agree with the prev post. I literally clicked this specifically because I read it and had the thought "What? I don't remember that game being a roguelike, unless they're really extremely stretching the definition beyond recognition."
I only realized this was a separate, original game after reading the posts within, and other guy's post is what cleared up for me the game I WAS thinking about and confused the title with.

Also, why did you spell roguelike weirdly wrong like that not only once, but twice..? The exact same way? Leading me to assume it isn't just a mistaken typo.
I don't mean this in a condescending way or anything, but I'm somewhat intrigued and impressed with the grammar and/or typos you've displayed, that you chose game development as something to pursue, and wonder if you either heavily lean on autocorrect or if your code is just riddled with nonfunctional typos or grammar mistakes.

It seems like you actually have what I'd consider an interesting game at the core of the videos I skimmed through, just needs some continued polishing and refinement and this is absolutely something I could see obsessively playing for awhile. I wish you the best of luck on your endeavors, random internet stranger dude.

I would recommend changing the name not to be confused with Dragon's Lair.
I'll consider it. I am aware of Dragon's Lair. I didn't think it was that confusing.

Same responce as above.

It was just a typo. As you can see I spelled it correctly in the Youtube videos. I don't treat typing on an online forum as that important so I don't typically look for grammar/spelling errors.

I'd be interested in hearing more of what you think needs work. If you would like to try the game let me know. The videos are of older builds. I have been working on coloring the sprites better and adding more varity when choosing a character and choices in combat.

Yo, this looks sick. I'd be down to try it out.
Thanks, here's a link to a discord server https://discord.gg/7VCh77Bd if you can join it. I'll send you the file over there. If that doesn't work for you let me know.

Hi! I'm a huge roguelike enthusiast and also a huge GBC enthusiast. (see: my Shiren The Wanderer GB2 PFP). I've done playtesting before, and I even have a GBC flash cartridge so I can test on real hardware! I'd love to help out if you'd have me
