Note: for the coding and hacking process, the patch creator mainly used claude (A.I.) to learn some hacking skills, most of the text has been manually translated

While I'm sure AI coding is dog shit as just about anything to do with AI typically turns out aside from rare, limited training models in highly controlled scenarios. Machine translated text is guaranteed trash 100% of the time.

I for one welcome any translation patch, done using ai or any other means, as long as it works without issues.
Machine translated text without any proofreading or editorial work done on it can be pretty shitty at times, but I might actually prefer that to some of the botched western localizations of japanese games, where the localizers censor content and take too many liberties with the source material. After all, an equivalent amount of meaning is lost, despite good intentions, and outdated memes inside my videogames are more of a dealbreaker for me than a pun-based joke being machine translated as gibberish.
Also, you can be a skilled programmer and still use ai for some tedious parts.

That doesn't matter. The information is never correct. When something is translated into nonsense and you "fix it," you're editing nonsense. Without actually translating and performing proper transcription of the original language's text into another format the exercise is meaningless.

That's an entirely different issue. Instead of laziness and incompetency you're running into errors caused by creative liberties or worse, political ideological ones sourced from god knows where. But, I don't think one is worse or better than the other. They're both cancer.

I played this game. Not as fun as the devils crash games

Wow, always wanted to try this and understand it. So many good translations for the retro systems lately.

People complaining about ai being used in something that they're getting for free, from people using their free time out of the good of their hearts, will always sound disingenuous to me.

"The text doesn't look good, i prefer nothing" is a valid answer.
But it's always good to remember: you are not paying. You can just not play it.

I, for one, wish ai starts to be used more frequently for this purpose, overcoming technical limitations, and we, the ones that don't care about ai being used for this herculean task that is ronhacking, can enjoy it.
