I made another MSX to GBA port using this tool https://www.gamebrew.org/wiki/MSXAdvance_GBA I'm not very familiar with this game but it seemed interesting, I might play it now that I converted it to GBA. P.S. screenshots are from the MSX version not the GBA conversion but it is basically the same exact game.

Yeah, the game is structured like the original Zelda, but side-view. The Castle is the Overworld, and there are several doors that lead to "Dungeons".

When you get to the end of each dungeon you need to type the name of the dungeon boss / demon to summon and fight them.

Fun fact, this is the game that inspired the original freeware MSX-styled La-Mulana.
I appreciate the history lesson, thank you so much, also side note, dig the pfp, I can tell you got excellent taste 👍

Is it essential? This could be a problem for this port then, while you can reassign keyboard keys to other buttons, the GBA button layout is very limited 🙁

Looks like a mixture of Lode Runner, Donkey Kong, Zelda, and Aztek explorers (might be wrong on the name, but it was an atari game).

All of them. You're required to type words to cast spells.

I did not know of this game until a PS Vita port of the android remake released a couple of days ago, it looked interesting, played it for an hour earlier on my ipad with retroarch but I didn't get very far, seems like a maze of some sort which is interesting, but if the keyboard is that essential then this version is probably not the ideal option 😟

I thought this was a dungeon crawler like the amiga game that has the same name which was a licensed game to an old british children TV-game-show also called Knightmare ( Which is and was awesome . You can watch the whole series on YouTube . Its really good . ) .

I'm a Brit who was a kid of the 80s and 90s and yeah watched Knightmare back then too. It was great. And Treguard was a charismatic host.

Please, add the MSX2GBA mention on the card game.

I'm not interested in converted games (and I don't think I am the only one) and it does not appear before I click on the game. I really thought it was an original GBA game.

Thx a lot for your work by the way
Already has a header "MSX2GBA" and tag "Port" I dunno what else I can do.
