Dream Collection was nice for its time: a good collection of iconic titles in physical form

I'm a bit sad that it lacked the GBA titles (perhaps one being a remake and the other being a game not made by HAL had an impact on it).

If you want, I can let you know if it works or not!
Snes9x is a good choice if you cannot play it there but modern emulators shouldn't struggle with late life SNES games.

Yeah, I can understand why the GBA games weren't included, but it's a bit sad for them not to be included, especially since I loved Amazing Mirror especially. I actually really remember being the only one to preorder it at my local Gamestop and one of the employees said they were about to put it out on display until they remembered "oh yeah someone preordered this" and I honestly found that to be really funny.

Honestly amazing mirror is my least favorite Kirby game :/
Amazing Mirror could've been nice for someone who plays it on a GBA during pause or in a waiting room for short gameplay sessions. I may redo it someday.

On the other hand I feel like Flagship missed something about what makes a Metroidvania a good game genre for one simple reason: permanent upgrades and progression through those upgrades.

The major issue comes from the fact that they haven't thought of making it like the Copy Essence Deluxe System that Milky Way Wishes had back in Superstar (Ultra) nor having the treasure chest system that The Great Cave Offensive and Squeak Squad had (as well as the storage system of the later).

If Amazing Mirror got some sort of "true Metroidvania remake" (where Mini wasn't a situational ability like Light in Adventure/NiDL), had many treasures to get as well as having permanent abilities (imagine a wall of fire that you have to find Ice to be able to go through or even having a rope that would require cutter or sword to make a platform fall) it could've been helpful. Add HP upgrade and even making floating limited until you get an upgrade and it would be great.

Also remove non boss level ending that leads to the hub so you have to redo the zone.

I also had troubles with Wario Land 3 because it was also a semi metroidvania but was still separate in several levels.

Amazing Mirror with actual local MP could've been nice.

I will be a little sad when I'll finish the last games I miss to beat. Star Crossed World content is definitely gonna be the final part.

The 3DS ones are gonna be a huge pain to work since I still have to learn how to hack mine. Ugh.

What’s everybody’s favorite copy ability? For me, it’s always Suplex. Or Backdrop in Kirby’s Adventure.

Massive “form over function” ability, but by the time of Super Star you get an ability that is full of sauce while also making the game substantially harder if you want to keep it. It’s so fun to use.

Sword and Ninja.

Like I know Sword is the most basic-bitch Copy Ability, but I love how it feels to play as. I love Ninja for similar reasons, like I love its move set a lot.

Suplex was my absolute fav. I loved trying to take into random stages and trying to find flashy routes in games like Nightmare in Dreamland!

Literally a whole minigame you come up with in your head lol

I do the exact same. I love the throw where you just launch yourself into the air because I try to not fly when I can, so that literally gives me a mobility option I’m otherwise restricting for myself. It’s insanely fun.

Or emulate them. I hope this could work.

I'd love to see an HD version of them though.
