Google is attempting to block the use of side loaders and APK files to download apps outside of their play store by requiring developers to submit their IDs and addresses.
They claim it won't affect side loading, but this doesn't apply to apps that are no longer available in the play store for whatever reason, as well as for people who are region restricted like in the People's Republic of China.
This will affect anyone using apps not directly verified by them, and will restrict the freedoms many users switched to Android for in the first place.
That's really all there is to it. Money talks, nothing else.petition will do jack shit make them bleed money then they will listen.
My fists speak louder. That's really all there is to it. Money talks, nothing else.
They did that, nobody liked it for obvious reasons and they had to back down, yet they continue trying to become Apple.I heard it's still possible to sideload unverified apps... but needs an one-time activation process which involves a 24 hours wait.
Not sure if it's true or not...
