Keep Android open petition

While this may be an important topic to discuss it would've been better if you briefly introduced it instead of just posting a link that looks somewhat shady.

Guess I'll do it instead. The link is safe and links to a petition to stop Google from making changes to their app system. Here's a quote from the petition site:
Google is attempting to block the use of side loaders and APK files to download apps outside of their play store by requiring developers to submit their IDs and addresses.

They claim it won't affect side loading, but this doesn't apply to apps that are no longer available in the play store for whatever reason, as well as for people who are region restricted like in the People's Republic of China.

This will affect anyone using apps not directly verified by them, and will restrict the freedoms many users switched to Android for in the first place.

People think a petition will make an entity like google listen does muppets are so purely evil and rich it´s only a matter of time before they have their own private army.

Only way to get something like google to listen is make them lose money and I mean make them lose 100s of millions.

And why am I sure they won´t listen on a petition well how many years have content creators not complained on google about youtube and NEVER have they ever listen instead they keep making youtuber worse and worse.

petition will do jack shit make them bleed money then they will listen.

I heard it's still possible to sideload unverified apps... but needs an one-time activation process which involves a 24 hours wait.

Not sure if it's true or not...

They did that, nobody liked it for obvious reasons and they had to back down, yet they continue trying to become Apple.

Unfortunately, we have already passed the point where we can do something to stop a monopolistic company like google.

It would take ADB to sideload. A massive pain at the very least.
