I don't have much to say. I loved katamari damacy and I also am loving we love katamari.

It's so weird how a cute, little game about rolling a sticky ball around goes so deep in me. I think about childhood, life, relationships all while I'm just glued to the screen, starring at the menu and planets in silence, in dark.

At the same time I want the feeling to continue, I know it's better if it's just for these two games. Come and gone, only once, but still deep and beautiful, something rare, that has it's own place and won't be destroyed by reusing and trying to recreate it over and over again.

This series is so beautiful.

Why is it so hard to make a big star out of swans ;_;

I’d play it for the story even it wasn’t super addictive and fun. The Cosmic Royal Family drama is gripping. For what it’s worth, the PS3 and 360 games are also really good, and the PS3 one in particular is just gorgeous. The PSP one I can only recommend with an emulator so you can map the face buttons to an actual right analog stick, but once you do that it’s good as well.

I absolutely adore these games. A lot of the time I just want to pick up and play thek and then I find myself spending weeks completing them again.

Thank you for reminding me I've been meaning to replay these.

It's just so relaxing and the soundtrack goes so hard.

It certainly has one of the greatest songs to ever be composed by human souls. Lonely Rolling Star is something to be beheld, it is truly one of the most pain-inducing and bittersweet sounding songs. Now, you listen to it and think "ah, wait, this sounds super happy, how is it bittersweet", songs like these always felt like they had a underlying sense of sadness to them, I feel the same way about the Vib-Ribbon OST.

you’re so right—especially Polaroid:

I remember buying this for $20 from my local game store when it was first released for PS2 in America. It was such a fresh game. I've never finished it, but I've played it a lot actually. It's such a fun chill game.

I remember getting one of those magazines bundled with a CD at the time and it had trailers for Devil May Cry 2, Zone of the Enders 2 and Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball, totally normal videos with gameplay demonstrations and such but it also had the opening of Katamary Damacy and that's it, no gameplay or any sort of other info about the game, just that trip of dancing pandas and mushrooms. It was before I got internet access and for months I was like "I have no idea what the heck is this but I want it!" ?
