Young Hero
In the city were I was born the popular genre of music is either reggaeton or cumbia. I grew up with it but always had something for rock although a modern derivative of it; popular bands like U2, Audioslave, Linkin Park in conjunction with argentinian bands like Babasónicos, La bersuit, etc were my favorites. I moved to another city when it was time to start my university life, there I got to know Led Zeppelin. This british rock band from the 70' rewired my brain, I devoured all their disks never listening to another song if it wanst theirs.
Two years later I came back to my city for vacations and went to a karaoke with some friends, and in that place where everyone was singing romantic songs, reggaeton, cumbia in spanish... I put in queue the song I wanted to sing next: "Whole lotta love" from Led Zeppelin. I sang that song many times in the intimacy of my room between study sessions and this was the time to show off. I got perfect score and the entire place applauded me, that was and will be the only time I felt for a moment like a rock star.
