instead of a more loyal adaptation of the game, it did a very good job entretaining me, there's plenty of monster action and the character designs were very cool

Glad you enjoyed and congrats! I pop it in every now and then. My mom and I saw it opening weekend.

Interesting Question: does Cloverfield count as a Kaiju film? According to Goddard that was very much the intention, but as a found footage does it succeed?

I've seen that the general consensus in the monster movie circles is that yes! Any big monstruos fella counts

I remember all the kids talked about that movie at school
