I thought it was a Masterpiece and it felt like the "Ultimate" Gundam series in some way regarding the big plot twist, the scenery is breathtaking, the OST is great, i love Sochie Heim probably my favorite Tomino character and quite a lot of things went in a direction that i wasn't expecting and surprised me a lot (regarding antagonists and such) but i can't lie that at the beginning i was kinda bothered by how things were going lol, it seemed like it wasn't a Gundam series at all but i'm glad Tomino delivered the best Gundam that i watched so far.

Did you play SRW Aplha Gaiden game on PS1? It has Turn A's plot as one of story lines.

Turn A Gundam is something extremely special that needs to be seen.

The start of it is also so interesting. You had concerns about it, but I thought it was fascinating how little mobile suit piloting and action there actually was at the start.

Also it's such a progressive and forward thinking anime as well.

It really is a total grade A masterpiece

One of my favorites, best of the Tomino Gundam saga, has a good balance between killing more than half your crew(I'm looking at you Z gundam and V gundam) and the actual horrors of warfare.
Also really dig the late nineteenth to early twenty century aesthetic(remind me of Ghibli and the World Masterpiece Theather).
Also is good as a Gundam that encompasses all the Gundams(as it was the original intent).

it was the first gundam that i watch after my childhood; its criminally underrated

Yeah pretty cool, especially the animation sceneries emitting an aesthetic vibe of coziness.
