Is there a way to make a fan port just like unleased pc and ocariana pc of any j2me game? is anyone done any java game porting to pc?

I just got random idea to make a fan port of my childhood game 'zombie infection' its from gameloft (when they were in peak time now its vitality is sucking out by giant corpo Vivendi thats another topic)
also if j2me to pc project is never done before me and my another friend who both are now trying to major computer engineering (just newbies) to test ourself and bringing back a classic game to mobile, quite ambitious isn't it ^_^

anyways I am new to game development i don't know any method nor coding knowledge at all just starting from fresh is there any tips to get started at how to port a java game to pc?

this is my 1st time posting on forums never knew it will this fun to chat in than doomscrolling all dat.

I remember gameloft having a lot of quality games for iPhone back in the day. I also remember when I excitedly tried a new title and was immediately hit with microtransactions. I've never heard of j2me, but you have my support.

My understanding is that if you have the source code and the necessary knowledge it's not too hard. If you don't have the source code then you have to decompile the game of your choice and it's going to be a grueling task. Definitely not a project for beginners.

sadly there is no source code >_< but there are few ways to decompile java scripts easily, what i am going to might be half assed cus i just looked up on yt for java decompile tutorials that just take the java script 1:1 by a plugin

there are few roadblocks like sprite works and image assets stuff

but hey we will never know how much we capable when we tried it ^_^
