It might sound bold, but we’ve never gotten to enjoy a truly phenomenal strategy RPG.

What about Shining Force III?
 
Yeah, I love vibration but a lack thereof disqualifying a strategy game of all things from being phenomenal is a bit of a headscratcher. Though, come to think of it, having the controller rumble violently when you get fucked over by RNG (say, missing despite an 80% chance to hit) would be a great gimmick. Perhaps OP is on to something here.
Maybe op just really likes playing with the controller on their lap.
