According to Omar Alamoudi (the same person who teased Onimusha's return and Xbox pulling out of the MENA):

Well, they are buying and bankrolling anything and everything these days. The Saudi Government legit owns the FGC at this point. They were instrumental in bringing back Fatal Fury(Saudi Government owns SNK) and I believe they are behind the renewed push for Virtua Fighter to gain prominence again.

who cares any way I mean they basically killed them long before the Saudi even taught about buying them honestly. I mean western AAA companies murder them self for profit. So honestly nothing worse could happen.

People with lots of money like to spend it on very expensive things. But I also feel it's fair to question the reasonings and ethics of why a company would make itself available to be bought in the first place.

Oftentimes, I feel that the company being sold is cast in a less-favorable light. Yes, there are hostile takeovers and mergers, but in situations when a company was not forced to sell, or didn't have to sell, yet chose to do so, anyway? Those are the decisions that really make me wonder.

TL;DR, Ted DiBiase said it best:

I wonder if it has something to do with Ubisoft being the primary target of the Stop Killing Games initiative.

Well it is nice to see some forgotten series make a comeback. Even if it's because some rich people need new toys to play with.

They also bought 8% of Nintendo a few years ago but sold half of it. They are still the second biggest shareholder of the company now behind only Nintendo itself at 10%

Will that even really change anything I wonder ?
anyhow I could not care less for such detestable companies such as them
to be bought by someone else,it can hardly get worse as it is in my opinion
even if it can be worrying when so many companies are getting bought off.
Fundamentally I doubt much is going to change contrary to the worry of some
as they are businessman which means they will prioritize profit over any sort of personal believe.
You can hardly make a rubbish company any more rubbish than it is.

Cristiano Ronaldo in Assassin's Creed WHEN??

Japan would rather nuke Nintendo of the face of the Earth before selling a japanese company to a foreign country

they can have em
we dont want em!
As bad as they've been, the west will continue to lose influence around the globe, whereas China and Saudi Arabia's influence will grow. The rumor is that Saudi Arabia will eventually buy WWE from TKO, too. That's something that I'm not comfortable with despite my dissatisfaction with the likes of EA and Ubisoft.

Yeah, their partnership with Universal Studios and the nomination of Illumination Studios CEO for Nintendo board of directors is an unprecedented anomaly 😅

p sure he was referring to the already known news of Tencent acquiring a part of Ubi, not implying that the Saudi will be buying Ubi. not that it matters who owns what, it's the same corporate greed everywhere

Please do 🙏 Nintendo brings dishonor to Japan (for any police reading this that was a obvious joke)
