Issue with user profile settings

Under the "profile style" tab in "user style settings", there's a preview window that's supposed to show you what your profile would look like once the changes you've made are saved. In my case, the preview window shows one thing but when I refresh my profile in another tab, it doesn't match what the preview showed me.

For example, if I upload an image for my page header and I adjust the position of the image by tweaking the X- or Y-axes, the preview will reflect the tweaks while my actual profile page does not. Here are some screenshots to show what I'm seeing on my end:

I tried doing this once too, and someone else talked about it too a while back, but there doesn't seem to be a way to make it look like that on the live profile afaik.
Might be a bug? Not sure.

A profile block image in the middle section might be a decent stand in, though I get it's not the same.

Sure; I've attached both the image I used in the examples and a screenshot of the settings I used.
