I feel like Netflix castlvania was such a weird beast. it felt like it had weird tangents about nothing for way too long between meaningful events, and it was weirdly obsessed with trying to explain things. I don't care if there is a darkness elemental that eats spirits LIKE a grim reaper. it's a flying skeleton with a scythe, you don't need to justify it.
My hopes for this is only that it doesn't have a character explain how demons are actually creatures from another dimension and it's stupid for you to call them demons because there is no heaven and hell or god because we believe in SCIENCE, sweet magical science. and I don't want depressed Vergil to recount how excited he was when he killed 100 demons for a flashback, but that was pointless because he was depressed when he said it.
