Is there a way to play shin megami tensei 3 hardtype on a ps2(not an emulator) using USB opl? Currently the Game freezes at the first battle

I tried on opl 1.2.0 and 0.9.3 and using modes but nothing worked

if it don't work and your disc drive works, especially if you have Slim, it would be a workaround to obtain empty DVD's and burn a ESR patched disc and run it with ESR.
