Is the Nintendo Switch 2 worth it?

This is an interesting point...

I chose to get an AYN Thor instead of a Switch 2. (for now)
They both play Switch 1 games but I'm really loving my Thor. Its kind of the perfect handheld imo.

I'm jealous! I'm going to start saving for one and hoping that the price doesn't shoot up.

Anyway, on-topic: I have a Switch 2, I got it as a gift. Right now it's probably not worth it, but hopefully after years of new Nintendo exclusives it will be moreso. Kinda like the original Switch, which I only really wanted for the handheld capability and Mario Odyssey there for a long time, because the system just didn't have enough games that it could call its own. (I had BOTW on the Wii U, for example).

Me too. I bought a Switch last year and have only 100% one game and more than sixty games. Damn you, sales!

I don't think the Switch 2 is worth it right now, with just Donkey Kong Bananza as a great exclusive for me. And unfortunatly Nintendo is not the same as it was with Reggie and the late japanese president Iwata, so I don't see the NS2 getting as good as the original NS, while still being considerably more expensive to invest in.

I think the best proposition in terms of hardware and ecosystem in gaming is the Steam Deck. And probably the Steam Box when it launches.

There is not much point in me having a Switch 2 right now. Most of the titles on the system I own are small games, that don't need much power.
