Is the mega man franchise boring?

I doubt it. The games stay consistently good, and you'll probably continue to have fun with them at least up until the Wily Stages in Megaman 8.
Only the fourth Wily stage pissed me off, and I don't think I'll be pissed at it again on my eventual second playthrough

I think we've all been there. ::winkfelix
i only recently found out that the final wily fight of that game is considered one of the most difficult in the series
i suppose my lack of meaningful interactions with the greater mega man fanbase over the years resulted in a certain lack of comprehension on my part

You ought to try Rockman & Forte.

there is a question growing in my mind that the mega man franchise after i end 3 and going to 4, 5, 6 and so on it will become less fun and more boring because im doing the same thing over and over again, but with new toys at my disposal, is the mega man franchise in my pont of view become boring or not?
I guess that going back to back with the NES entries could get old fast (imo, none of those are close to being my favorites, really), if you want something different with the Classic franchise try MM7 or Mega Man & Bass, those got a pretty big jump in mechanics and interactions (MM8 as well but 8 is kind of whatever), you should definitely try the other sub-series because each one has a really different gameplay style and overall tone and then find the one you like the most, you can be only a fan of specific series and that's completely OK, that's the reason there's so many in the first place. ::thumbsupwario

i do not believe i have played this one before - i cannot remember if people generally thought it was very difficult, or very difficult and also poorly designed

Maybe I'm the weird one that thinks that it's not any more challenging than the regular MM game? It IS challenging but not as much as some segments of the others, specially from the NES or 7, at least is better designed than 8 because it doesn't force too many gimmicks per level.

I've only played some of the classic series, but to answer your question, not really (unless you count Mega Man 3's Doc Robot stages which are just needless padding).

If it worse comes to worst, alternate between series' each time you finish a game.

No I don't think so.
But they weren't made to be played back to back in a marathon. That might get repetetive.

Ive never liked Mega Man, maybe the later games have gotten easier, but playing them on the NES, SNES, they were the most frustrating games ever (Castlevania was too back then).

The only one I would say is bad is the Tiger handheld Mega Man II, because I had it and it was not great. iirc you could run out of ammo and you had to just dodge forever or go do something else

I find MegaMan X5 boring. Every Classic & X games tend to be unique in some way but not all of them have good special weapons.
