But btw, if you have a false positive with your download, get from another place more known to be "clean".

I googled it, they say Steam version has the false-positive (anymore due to new update?) so it turned out OP asks about that. What a plot twist lol. Finally playing Famicom Detective Club for decades paid off so I figured what the OP even talking about lol.

We are retro gamers so the game is too new for us and we wouldn't know what change happens to these new games lol.

Just download from a safe place. It has a chance to have malware from site or even on file!

I never heard that but some sites has malwares. It is possible someone download from unsafe then have virus and other stuffs.

But game does even worth to play? Seriously! It has crazy parts and stupid jokes like park where....no spoiler but it wasn't very good.

Exactly. If your PC is catching that as a virus and you can't play, tell Steam and get a refund, then download it from FitGirl for instance.

The enigma DRM is simply strict with game file modifications, but I have played through this game recently and even got a mod working regardless. The game did not act up or do weird things and I'm pretty sure it even worked off-line, it's safe to play.

With these quality of life fixes for Resident Evil 5, you could join someone to play but not sure about mercenaries, verses, etc.
