Nah yesh my Pc is strong enough for Xenia so for the most part I’ve just been using it with the built in patchers I still want the real thing but I know the 360 has some issues and also to have to go inside the motherboard to mod it seems like a lil summer project to get all the partsFor what it's worth, my 360 is one of the ones made after they fixed the cooling issues and it's been dead nuts reliable despite being at least a decade old, games and accessories for the console are cheap enough that I'd say go for it unless you've got a really really beefy computer and only wanna play the games that Xenia works with

I can definitely attest to the fact that mine is still running mostly fine despite having been treated like absolute shit by the previous owner but I don't actually know a ton about the reliability of later revision 360s so it might just be my experience

the only problem I've had is the disc drive occasionally refusing to open but the problem mysteriously went away about a year ago and hasn't come back since so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For what it's worth, last i checked lost odyssey, along with blue dragon and i think infinite undescovery (if you want a mid S-E jrpg) are available on xbox live for the xbox one and series X i think.Nah

I know of 5, ace combat, lost odyssey, blue dragon, infinite undescovery and magna carta 2, otherwise yes.Probably not. Even ignoring the current efficacy of emulation (last I checked, it's still pretty bad) or the potential backwards-compatibility of whatever the current Xbox is (which is... decent, I think?), the 360 suffers from two simple, intractable problems: it has very few games that can *only* be played on a 360 (the only big ones left, to my knowledge, are Ace Combat 6 and Lost Odyssey); and the hardware sucks, and has a very high failure rate.
I went through three different 360s when I was a kid, more than enough to make me wash my hands of not just that specific platform, but the entire Xbox brand, forever after. It's just not worth investing in hardware that unreliable.
They are a right Pain in the arse to JTAG/RGH depending on what version of the System, MOBO revision, and of all things the Optical driveNah

Xbox 360 emulation is still pretty wonky. If OP wants Xbox 360 games to just werk without a lot of fucking around, an Xbox 360 slim is the best bet. Xenia has a way to go before you can just drop most games in and have them work. Ninja Gaiden 2 specifically is a pain in the ass.I think if you have a good PC, emulation is the way to go
But it depends I guess since you love to play it on the original hardware

Unrelated - I just wanted to acknowledge and appreciate your Sunny Day Real Estate PfPIt depends. I'd recommend looking at a list of games that aren't backwards compatible with One/Series consoles. If that list appeals to you, buy an Xbox 360. If it doesn't, grab a One X or Series X. The backwards compatibility is fantastic on those.
That's odd, try blowing it and putting it back in the NES.I love having old hardware and I really want to play Ninja Gaiden 2 on the og hardware it was meant to be played on but pulling the plug on getting one is so hard for some reason
3!? man i cant even begin to express how piss off i would be in your placeIf there was a manufacturing company still making the old hardware for older systems (and even reprinting discs from time to time), i'd say go for it. Though the red ring of death, i had 3 dead 360's and called it quits on the 360.
But with them effectively forcing people to lose entire libraries because they won't make anymore of a console... No, personally i'd stay out of the console market entirely. I can't afford it.
