And if it is, do they work?
I ask bc @Morgana Veil told me it's possible with a jailbroken PS3 (which I do have), but I couldnt find any proof of that.

I'm not familiar with the ps3/360 ports of the game, but from my experience with Bethesda games it might work. Since the actual games content and data loads the the same way a mod would, even the dlcs can be installed exactly like a mod on pc at lest.

A cursory look on Reddit shows that it seems to work, but not all mods. The PS3 port of Skyrim is also already pretty notorious to not be very stable, so I'm unsure how how much mods might impact the system or cause extra stress to it.
Also apparently only packed mods like .esp and .bsa works.

it will not be feasible because of 3 reasons:
1.PS3 Ram.
2. you will require Script extender, which at this point in time only works on PC versions and very specific ones.

3. Storage, there is no structure for the mods to exist.

what you might be able to get away with will be using "mods" that are using already existing assets from the game or replacers but nothing akin to PC moding in the slightest.

Yes true. PS3 is the first PlayStation that you can use mods without hacking the game itself to add mods. It means the DLC system console support allows flexible addition of mods to PS3 games so unlike earlier PlaysStations the mod doesn't have to be baked into the game itself. If you use a broken Switch with modded games then you would understand how mod logic is for broken PS3 too.

However as the game changes the more it gets unstable on PS3 due to the way PS3 works which I can say PS3 already works in barely stable way like a guy trying to walk on a thin line but games are adjusted perfectly as much as they could to make the game "run" but it's hard to do that on PS3 as if Sony did anything so people won't develop their own PS3 games and as if people can't find a way to use games to hack the PS3 itself lol. PS3's hardware and the way system works has potential for developing greater games than any PS3 game could ever have, however it was very hard to do that because as things got complex the more the game got unstable therefore developers had to waste time on huge optimization by making sure their games stay simple as much as it can be by not daring to make it push it to the limits lol. For example PS2 was stable even when it hit the limit therefore there are many PS2 games showing the true beauty of the hardware, but PS3 barely stays stable half way in the limit therefore we never saw the true beuaty of PS3 lol!!! What PS3 had the pros over PS2 is you didn't need to bother with size of the game much, but you needed more optimization compared to PS2. For example if the modded game on PS2 works ok then it's stable enough, but a mod affecting PS3 hardware can cause very unexpected results despite how tiny it may be therefore I don't think it would worth to mod Skyrim on PS3. Better play it on PC. Best way to develop PS3 mods would be making small changes into game logic by using its own code, so adding content would make things unstable.

So people say how bad Skyrim run on PS3, if it's true then it would make sense because I don't think Bethesda would write the whole game properly for PS3, they probably tweaked it to work on PS3 that was already written for how a computer works that's unlike how PS3 works so what they did is not good enough to befit how PS3 works so game can crash anytime, even when it just wanna crash lol.

Hmmm then maybe ill download the pc version instead

Or maybe not bc even the original edition of the game with all dlcs is quite heavyweight for a slow internet connection like mine

I only said it was possible on a JB PS3. I didn't say it was a good idea, and I quote myself

Not only Skyrim, Fallout too. But you do need to jailbreak a PS3, and iirc, no texture mods.

Weird that I did play a Skyrim on ps3 in my experience I haven't made a glitch although to be honest I didn't finish because the open world is overwhelmed me I did play on ps3 jailbreak

(I mostly stick to one town and finish all the side quest on that town and turn off the autosave and always rotate your save file.)

Imo the open world Bethesda games are just not great on any console. You never know when you're going to get stuck in a rock or a script is going to break. These can be remedied with console commands on PC. On console, have fun loading your last save. Also if PS3 Skyrim is anything like Fallout 3 on PS3, the game will eventually become unplayable due to crashing after your save file gets bloated enough. Thanks Bethesda.
