Is it okay to post drawings made with pencil and paper instead of digitally on the internet?

All the art I find on the internet is done digitally and I don't know if doing it with pencil and paper reflects a lack of talent or things like that.
I ask this bc theres people who don't have drawing tablets, and it's nigh-impossible to draw with a mouse/touchpad on pc

It's perfectly fine. @DunkeyKong does all his drawings on paper, and we love them.

Of course it is.

Someone even made a whole GAME out of them:

(Pencil Whipped, 2000).

pretty sure its illegal to post pencil and paper drawings online as it violates the digital content law of unlawful transmission of unregulated graphite based depictions on the world wide web

yeah, i've uploaded some paper drawings with pencil, colored pencils and ink to my galleries on deviantart and newgrounds. in fact, i'm working on a comic to upload here on the site right now. it's pencil and ink with digital text because my handwriting sucks,

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, so go for it if you want to!
For most of my professional work, I usually start off doing the initial sketch on paper, before photographing it and finalizing it digitally, so there's lots of different approaches. None of them are wrong and all of them are right as long as it works for you.

If anything, I'd argue that some knowledge in drawing/painting physically is a great prerequisite for knowing how to use certain digital tools. Similar to how knowing how to play acoustic guitar before learning to play electric guitar has several advantages, but doesn't really work the other way, but that's another point entirely lol

It's also good to remind yourself sometimes that much art you see online actually is drawn physically, but if it's scanned professionally it might be so clear that it looks digital.

Bold of you to assume that, lol

Tell you what: I'll post some of my OWN pencil art to boost your confidence, buddy. Art's art.

Actually i think it's not uncommon at all... and especially not in this site!

Very true! The RGT-Tan short comic series by @DunkeyKong is a great example and is pretty popular in this site! (I'm a fan of it too ;))

Also, pencil drawing can be combined with digital tools! for example, first draw with pencil and paper, then scan/capture it, and enhance/modify it using computer.

Also never underestimate the power of mouse!
I always draw with mouse! it's just its own skill. (not that i'm very good at it! ? )
You can check some examples of my "not so skill" in Game: The RGT Paint Masterpiece thread...
All of my additions to it are drawn by myself using mouse. ?

All in all, you can go with whatever method works for you and gets the job done!
That's what most of people do!

Go for it, no one's stopping you. No one will ever stop you.

In year 20xx, you're not allowed to have physical paper & pencils. Scalpers are hoarding the last batches of 8.5 x 11 stacks of paper, & all remaining pencils are being burned in oil drums. You're not allowed to own anything, & must embrace the digital future.

It’s totally fine
There’s actually a lot of traditional art online, although I understand how it could be mistaken for digital. Some are able to scan or get nice clean photos of their art. Personally when I post my pencil sketches I add a filter to make the lines more clear.

I’ve seen many sketch the drawing first traditional then finished digitally, or do the line art traditionally (what I do) then colour it’s digitally.

There are many forms of art it’s all up to what path you choose.

Some do choose to use a mouse or their finger for the digital art, condolences and praises to them; I’ve tried both, I was unable to grasp a fraction of their power ::bigboss

Images of fellow artists sketch books are extremely inspiring to me, especially when it’s an artist that I already admired.
