Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 1 and 2. Loved the games as a kid; the addictive roguelike gameplay in combination with great soundtracks made those games easy for me to enjoy from the get-go.

Latest I can think of is King's Field IV, once the janky gameplay clicked with me I knew the experience was gonna stay in my mind for a long time.

Also honorable mention to OldSchool RuneScape since the moment I first heard the newbie island music

Lunar, Grandia, Ys Seven.
I guess I just get sucked into Grand adventures with interesting story lines and fun gameplay mechanics.

Tera Online? I was watching my sister play this back in the day and fully lost it when I saw someone pass by in a clown car. Never played it but it seemed cool.
It was rely fun mmo that I played allot. I was never a fan of wow so I played Linage 2, Ragnarok online, Tera and so on.

Reason I was never a fan of wow is I grew up with warcraft orcs and humans, Warcraft 2 and 3 and your giving me a bloody mmo I want more RTS.

Sleeping Dogs

I've been a huge fan of Open-World Crime games since I can remember. Huge fan of series like Grand Theft Auto (From the earliest to the newest), Saints Row (mostly the first two), Mafia and occasional one offs such as The Godfather: The Game.
When I first discovered Sleeping Dogs as an early teen, it was like the perfect game. Simple but awesome Gun-Fu like action, environmental destruction, a bigger emphasis on using bikes, a fun campaign that wastes no time and all in a setting I see rarely used.

i guess spore would come the closest.
there's also cave story but the magic was lost on like my 5th playthrough where i didn't beat the game once again.

there are too many to list tbh, but if i had to pick one itd be castlevania symphony of the night for the psx. drawn in by my innitial interest in the series, cursed to love it instantly by the opening tracks, sound effects, and overall charm

I generally let things breathe a bit before I think of them that way, because I've had games that I fully bounced off of but came back later and realized what I had missed the first time around.

Epic Mickey and terraria is no exception. It was always the landscape, backgrounds and over all theme of everything that always brought my mind to a whole other set of imagination. I love game with creative and interesting landscapes and level design because it gives you an idea that there’s so much more to that world to explore.

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I don't think there's anything? Maybe some of the Pokémon games (Blue and Diamond), but I don't think there's anything I immediately fell in love with. Oftentimes it takes until the second or third session. Funny realization, huh?

Streets of Rage 4 was a special one for me. I marathoned the previous games right beforehand (and unfortunately stuck with the US version of 3) and had a lot of fun with them, but I felt like 4 was the absolute pinnacle of arcade-y beat em ups. Like it was everything I liked about these games all rolled up into one wonderful package. All it's missing was some funny voice acting.

Another one was Yakuza Kiwami. I just watched Jackie Chan's Police Story (go find and watch this movie right now) and was like "I NEED A MODERN BEAT EM UP RIGHT NOW" and remembered the Yakuza series existed and downloaded the first game and played some of it on the PS2 emulator. Then I remembered it got a fancy remake for PS4 and it had a funny feature where the character Majima shows up everywhere and I just DROPPED EVERYTHING to go out and buy it. I did nothing but play it. I've played it three times over.

I just really like games where people punch each other
