Is there a translation patch for the PS1 (Saturn) Initial D drift racing game?

I just watched the first season, and wow what a hidden gem. This is easily masterpiece status, truly stellar anime, must watch! It really surprised me how well this anime was done, it has all the things you want and need in a great anime. If you know you know, but if you've slept on it you must watch it.

It's been awhile since I last saw it, but aren't the menus all in english already? iirc the dialogue was still Japanese, but it's kind of incidental to the actual racing. I do remember there being music patches for it, but I don't know if there is a full translation. Still, it should be playable with little trouble.

Also, I'm not usually that guy, but the term gets thrown around here pretty freely where it doesn't apply: if a series has 50+ million volumes of manga sold, multiple seasons of anime, and video games for 30 years, it is about as far from hidden gem status as you can get.

If you're looking for a good Initial D game to play I'd recommend playing one of the ports of the arcade game instead. The PS2 version has a menu translation.
The PS1 and Saturn ones are actually two separate but similar games. If you don't care about the story they're perfectly playable without a patch. They just go over the anime's story anyway.
