Someone once told me that Kemco makes horrible painfully generic JRPG shoveware for mobile. How does this title hold up to that statement in your guys' opinion? Just wondering if they ever made any decent console games.
Is this a mobile game?

There's your answer.

Things change over the course of 40 years, you know.

They have "RPG Collections" on Xbox Series X (and I'm assuming PS5 as well) which look like generic JRPG slop from the 16-bit era, and they charge $40 or $50 for a group of 3-4 games. The reviews are impossible to read - some seem clearly fake (way too supportive over random, generic JRPGs), some absolutely trash Kemco for charging that much for shovelware, etc.

game looks so much like Dragon quest, funny how many games copied DQ gameplay on NES
It’s not surprising, even today if a game gets super popular, everyone is making clones. The success of Ultrakill led to a lot of FPS to the point it’s so oversaturated that it’ll die out the moment another big hitter releases.

The translation of the game into English despite being a beta is very well done and you can see the effort although the game itself is not so good because it shamelessly copies Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior and that is reflected by its game system and also by its mechanics and it is not an easy game just like the original Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior that game was also difficult but well.

there's quite a lot of mobile KEMCO games, some are generic sure, but some are actually quite good!
considering most of them are FREE on mobile and easily playable without real money
most of them aren't very long either and almost always have auto-battle and difficulty settings.
