Indie Indie titles to keep eyes on?

Breachway is a pretty cool take on the space roguelike formula. It combines a bit of Slay the Spire with a bit of FTL. I think the graphics are pretty great, too, but I don't usually grab early access stuff; I'm mostly rooting for the game from afar for now.

Some people have lost hope, but I can wait for this one

Yooka-Replaylee. This game was disappointing but I tried it in good faith and had my share of fun with it. I can't wait to see its issues gets fixed as it's not everyday you get a rare-like platformer. The aesthetic still doesn't exactly pleases me but it's undeniably better than before.

I've been waiting for Witchbrook. This game started development about seven years ago. If I recall correctly, that was an era when it seemed like low-key life simulation games might find an audience, and might not disappear into bargain bins. I don't know if the market for cozy games is now saturated. For what it's worth, I searched for "Witchbrook game," and found a Thinglabs article stating that it's still in development.

Touhou Lost Branch of legend, is one of the few deckbuilding games that i enjoy.

Unreal World, has been in development since 1992, its very fun, if you got the patience to learn it.

Abiotic Factor, Half Life but from the perspective of the scientists, its a very fun survival game.

I just want the Katana Zero DLC to come out, i don't even care if it turns out to be bad, it's been so long since it's been announced i just want it to be released already.

Been waiting on this one for a while. I played the demo and was completely charmed by it! I have no idea what the status is or even if it's going to be finished but I'll keep checking back.

theres sooo many, i keep track by adding p much any cool title to my steam wishlist as soon as the dev is able to list it there

I'm hopping that Penny Blood gets released one day. I loved the Shadow Hearts games and I'd hate for a spiritual successor to get stuck in limbo.

I'm also looking forward to Neon Inferno, which is sweet run and gun game like Sunset Riders and Contra with a stylish cyberpunk motif. Here's a link to the trailer: Neon Inferno Trailer

It's not coming out before 2030 give up. It's either in Development Hell or the developers at Team Cherry stopped giving a fuck about it after getting filthy rich from the first games sales and aren't working on it full time anymore. Either way i think this game is going to be one of those indie games that is going to be in development for 15 years and be released when no one cares about it anymore.

wayward realms and cyclopean have already been mentioned. Some I'm excited for are - Atlyss, Gorecore, Tails of Fate, Welcome to Elderfield, Deepwater, Psycho Patrol R, Withering Realms, Tamashika, Three Verses, Eydigard, Ardenfall, Plastic Spouse Interrogation, Akasha, Elation For The Wonder Box 6000, Mama's Sleeping Angels, 500 Caliber Contractz, .45 Parabellum Bloodhound, Samurai Unicorn, The Lacerator, Parkside: Decayed Soul Manipulation, Half Sword, Void War, Prison of Husks, Pathalogic 3. So, a lot, basically...

I don't know man, there's like only a few people working on it. I kinda feel bad for them despite not giving any updates, I can't imagine the pressure behind the scenes

The indie game that I am waiting the most for it's release is, Demon Tides "the sequel" to Demon Turf, one of the best 3D platformers I've played recently

The first game only took them like 4 years to develop and they were like 3 guys with only 50.000$ in their pockets, there's no reason a game that was supposed to be a glorified Hornet DLC should be taking this long to make especially now that they have a lot of money to hire other people to help with the development of the game.
I wouldn't even be this mad if they actually gave some news about the game but it's been years without even a teaser. They would also get less pressure by actually talking about the game instead of staying quiet about it because now peoples expectations are extremely high for the game and they will probably end up being dissapointed by the end product due to their unrealistic assumptions.

Even Star Citizen managed to get something out, and that game has been memed on for years.

Silksong should have at least a demo or something by now.

This has got to be the single coolest game trailer I have ever laid eyes on, at least for the last three years or so. Man, am I hyped for this.

Also, it pains me to say it - but you're probably right.

Yeah that's true, they should at least gave us some info about it

I'm also looking forward to this one

Maybe I'm reading too much into small details, and I'm open to being corrected on this, but Team Cherry always came across to me as kinda...hostile? Conceited? I'm not sure what the right term is.

The one thing that always comes to mind is the backer-character Tiso. He's treated like shit throughout the game and at first I didn't think much of it, but then I stumbled upon the backer's concept art for him. It looks like a child submitted it:

There's even suggestions for how Tiso would use his gear, none of which is ever implemented because he's treated like a joke. This left a really sour taste in my mouth and along with other questionable decisions from the dev team, caused me to distance myself from their games.
