I tend to avoid idlers like the plague but Faceminer is a fun satire of y2k era techno-optimism and surveillance capitalism with enough management aspects so as to feel not totally braindead. Fans of Hypnospace Outlaw might want to czech it out. Gameplay is largely different but the vibes are very similar

If you’re still somewhat interested in idlers, particularly one with a zelda/terraria twist, you may wanna check out Forager. I obtained all achievements on it. It’s a decent little game.

Great tactics game, better (by far) than Metal Slug Tactics

Fun and accessible puzzle game

This game looks really neat:

I had a blast playing this one:

And I can't wait to finally play this:

Just take a look, it's an instant hell yeah

No Freedom Planet 1 or 2 mention yet? Then here
The best way to showcase fast games is with a good speedrun, which FP2 is excellent material for.

This is also excellent and unique, the GBA vibes are strong.

I also saw a while ago a vtuber game that was straight up a Megaman Zero clone in about everything gameplay and movement related, but I can't seem to find it again, it's on steam though.
Post automatically merged:

Nevermind, found it! I remembered that one dev was related to the ZX prequel line of fangames and got it instantly.
The vtuber aspect doesn't matter in the slightest, this is literally just a MMZero/Gunvolt game (and a very polished one at that)

I really enjoyed The Sexy Brutale.

A murder mystery game with time-rewind mechanic.

I was a bit unsure at first about the isometric style, and it has a slightly uneven opening, but once it finds it's footing, I think it just gets better and better.

A wonderfully manic soundtrack, sharply written characters and the many hidden secrets of the titular casino and it's patrons create a heady atmosphere of comedy and intrigue.
The game can also be completed in under 3 hours. It respects your time.

One of the best non-Sonic Sonic fangame out there (with some nice Ristar and Treasure references).

FP 2 has slightly disappointed me but It's because of the wait.

This is also excellent and unique, the GBA vibes are strong.
I'm planning on getting it while Mina the Hollower is still in preparation.

Angeline Era just released by the way

Still in development but I'm sure it'll come soon in 2026

Zortch 2

On the other hand I'm not sure when Agents 64 nor The Big Catch will come out.
