I downloaded a translated Pokemon Green ROM. Everything was fine until the moment I trespassed Pewter City. After that, all of the text in the game is incomprehensible, I'm in the forest after Pewter City and the dialogues, plates and pokémons are unreadable. I took a couple of screenshots for showing what I mean:

I don't know if this is due to the poor translation, the game Pokemon Green itself, the emulator... Can someone in here help me?

Edit: I don't know if this is worth mentioning but the ROM i downloaded was translated by someone called LandaR, I think it may be useful if someone recognize this name

It's an incomplete translation that has been mislabelled as "1.0" by the creators, looks like. I've fortunately never come across one like that.
There's a review on romhacking.net that explains this.

What you said regarding the ROM being an incomplete translation makes sense, I didn't think like that on my first take downloading it. I revisited the website where I downloaded that ROM and I saw those options:

I think the other options are ROMs with more complete translation

Could you send me the link of the review?

Although the translation patch is labeled as version 1.0 on Romhacking.net, it was taken from an old IPS published on GBATemp in 2007 and made from an outdated hack. That version of the translation was 0.02, and LandaR appeared to have abandoned the translation project at version 0.03.

There is a more complete version by BG Translations included as part of GoodGBx V3.14. Seeing as I cannot link the ROM directly, I have made a BPS patch file from the No-Intro Pocket Monsters - Midori (Japan) (SGB Enhanced).gb and am linking it here: https://files.catbox.moe/0ssviz.bps

I tested the ROM that you mentioned, but I encountered a couple of bad translations in the very beginning of the game, check out:

Curiously, these bad translations came out in moments where the LandaR version was perfectly translated LOL.

I downloaded another ROM, I'm in the Pewter City Gym and everything looks alright so far.

What translation was it, out of curiosity? I am aware of the LandaR translation as well as translations by DWTRANS, Magecraft, Vida, and BGTrans.
