The first Last of Us is still one of my favorite PS3 games, I think it's a must for the system, but 2 really pissed me off. I hated how they set up the story there, Ellie should've killed that bitch 100%. But the graphics were really good and the gore was great. But I played both on the hardest difficulties. I quit out TLOU2 after 5 minutes of having to play as Abby. By that point the game was really dragging and I felt like I just played an entire game's worth of content as Ellie. And she doesn't even get revenge for Joel. Piss. The game on Grounded is just completely unbalanced. You barely get any resources to do anything, so 90% of the game is just sneaking around with the Butterfly Knife, and even then you can barely sneak because as soon as you stealth kill someone, everyone comes running after your ass. Idk if it was intended to be that way but what's the point in stealth if everyone is gonna track your ass regardless. My entire playthrough I was lucky if I had a rifle round, pistol round, and like 3 cans.

Worst of all is that it has no identity outside of being a generic esport-styled game. It's one of the reasons I hated when Valve "made" CS2: it ditched the gritty and realistic aspect of it to become more like Apex/Valorant, hell, even the main theme is nothing like the one used in CS:GO. It fit the gameplay narrative and complimented its style

We don't know enough about the game to dismiss its premise. They keep throwing in references to the original with S'pht Compilers plainly visible in the trailers. Bungie have insisted it will have a story and there's no story in gaming like Marathon's.

The new Marathon is yet another online MP shooter and the market got oversaturated while they could've gone the Doom way and made it like a classic shooter but modernised. It's like they've slapped the IP to a new shooter instead.

Those Marathon trailers are a joke. They gotta be. What the hell does any of that have to do with Marathon lol. My buddy that was really into Destiny is considering getting it, and for me it just feels like another Bungie betrayal. Bungie hasn't been good since Halo Reach.

Yeah, Ellie's girlfriend has to be one of the most insufferable characters Naughty Dog has written. I feel like her character is just the idea that she's with Ellie because she has issues she's trying to push away rather than confronting them, and Ellie gets shoehorned into her petty bullshit. She's worse than Abby I'd say. I know people throw shade at Abby, but I think her part could've worked if Ellie killed her, and then there was like an unlockable thing at the end where you could play through her story before Ellie blasts her. I get the whole "revenge is bad" angle, but you can't have a character that kills a protagonist as liked as Joel and her not get repercussions for it. Or at least make them likable enough that it cancels it out. Abby isn't likable with how the story panned out.

Yeah, seems like ever since they started trying to push for more representation, they are getting the people who don't understand, or at least act like they do. I hope one day we can go back to "normal" in terms of getting nerds who are everyday people writing things instead of these crazed college students. Probably sounds bad the way I'm saying that but I feel like colleges in America have really been holding back progress. Actual progress and not just corporate manufactured progress. Like look at the Left Behind DLC from TLOU 1 for example. I absolutely LOVED that story. It was super well written, paced, and acted. It was tragic. I liked Left Behind a lot. Another game I think was really cool was the first Life is Strange. Idk how you feel about it, but I think the dynamic between Chloe and Max was pretty good, even if Chloe was a bitch at times.

I loved LiS, despite how cheesy the writing is at times. It adds to the charm lol.

I'm sorry for sounding rude, but the moment you've mentioned [Bloodborne] I have a feeling like you're "that guy". Sony has proven it's incompetence, its not just blobor 2 that phony refuses to make, they have a sea of neglected IP's beyond even crash bandicoot and spyro.

I understand that remakes and even worse remasters don't always justify purchases , but think about the brighter side that you get to play true and tested quality classics on newer generation hardware. Remasters are intended for a niche audiences while remakes are often aimed for newer audiences. I mean do you remember in mid 2000s or 2010s everyone moaned about "I want to play that game again but with cool graphics!!111" so companies found a market and supplied the demand.

My tip for you is, if the game has Three good games you need to stop asking for more. Trilogies are often sacred, asking more is defiling the balance. Just keep these classics alive using emulation, you don't have to buy it again. Since you like bloodborne that much and it runs like ass in PS4, that's not just sony's entire fault, Fromsoftware is known to release terribly optimized games.

The first one was pretty great, the second one shit the bed.
So I choose to ignore the sequel and any remakes (except the ps4 port, that was fine)
I choose to ignore the tv show and any other bullshit they come out with to milk it.
