I've been behaving lately. I've had general meat & vegetable dishes, and sometimes purely vegetable dishes, as my main daily meal for a couple of weeks now. I haven't had takeaway in forever, and I've only been having the occasional bit of chocolate for a junk food fix. This rambling is all so I can rationalize making some homemade hotdogs to myself today, delicious but very bad for me ::homerscream They're also very easy to make, with just an air fryer and an air fryer safe silicone tray being needed to cook.

I use:
pre-packaged brioche hot dog buns (The ones I buy come in packs of 6 and are pre-cut for convenience)
Whatever sausages I may have on hand (Today, it's a tray of beef & garlic sausages)
Mustard
Cheese (I use one cheese slice per hot dog)
An assortment of finely chopped vegetables (Today it's Mushrooms, Eggplant, Onion & Capsicum/Bell Peppers)

So I will cook the sausages for about 10-12 minutes at 185 degrees in the air fryer. Then I add the chopped vegetables into the air fryer and give the tray a light shake. I use an air fryer safe silicone tray so that the juices from the sausages stay in the tray and help to cook the vegetables. Everything should be done after another 8-10 minutes, depending on how well done you like your food. I like mine pretty well done, but 20 minutes total cooking should be fine.

I like to assemble my hotdogs in the order of:
Bun first, then the air fried vegetables, then the cheese slice, then the sausage and finally, the mustard. Having freshly cooked vegetables and a sausage surrounding the cheese helps it melt pretty quickly.

I try to have them with a side of something heathy, like cucumber or cherry tomatoes, and I usually chop up too many vegetables to put in the hotdogs, so I also have the leftovers as a side.
I don't eat these very often at all, every couple of months, but I kinda needed a junk food fix today and it's a lot cheaper and easier to make them myself than buy them from any local fast food place.
 
Tenho me comportado bem ultimamente. Nas últimas semanas, tenho comido pratos com carne e legumes, e às vezes pratos só com legumes, como minha principal refeição diária. Faz um tempão que não peço comida para viagem e só tenho comido um pedacinho de chocolate de vez em quando para matar a vontade de besteira. Todo esse papo é só para justificar o fato de ter feito umas salsichas caseiras hoje. Deliciosas, mas nada saudáveis. ::homerscream E são super fáceis de fazer, basta uma fritadeira elétrica sem óleo e uma forma de silicone própria para fritadeira.

Eu uso:
Pães de brioche para cachorro-quente pré-embalados (Os que eu compro vêm em pacotes de 6 e já vêm pré-cortados para maior praticidade)
Quaisquer salsichas que eu tiver à mão (hoje, é uma bandeja de salsichas de carne com alho).
Mostarda
Queijo (uso uma fatia de queijo por cachorro-quente)
Uma seleção de legumes picados finamente (hoje são cogumelos, berinjela, cebola e pimentão).

Então, vou cozinhar as salsichas por cerca de 10 a 12 minutos a 185 graus na fritadeira elétrica. Depois, adiciono os legumes picados na fritadeira e dou uma leve sacudida na bandeja. Uso uma bandeja de silicone própria para fritadeira elétrica, assim o suco das salsichas fica retido e ajuda a cozinhar os legumes. Tudo deve estar pronto depois de mais 8 a 10 minutos, dependendo do ponto de cozimento que você prefere. Eu gosto da minha bem passada, mas 20 minutos de cozimento no total devem ser suficientes.

Gosto de montar meus cachorros-quentes na seguinte ordem:
Primeiro o pão, depois os legumes fritos na air fryer, em seguida a fatia de queijo, depois a linguiça e, por último, a mostarda. Ter legumes frescos e uma linguiça ao redor do queijo ajuda a derretê-lo bem rápido.

Procuro acompanhá-los com algo saudável, como pepino ou tomate-cereja, e geralmente pico legumes demais para colocar nas salsichas, então também como as sobras como acompanhamento.
Eu não como isso com muita frequência, talvez a cada dois meses, mas hoje eu precisava de uma guloseima e é muito mais barato e fácil fazer em casa do que comprar em qualquer lanchonete.

The buns being pre-packaged, and most everything being done in an air fryer, kinda makes assembling them the only real work I do to make them hehe :loldog

That sounds really good!

On a side note: I didn't see a dedicated hotdogs thread, so I wouldn't mind if this was the default hotdog thread. You know, if anyone wants to share their favourite fast food hotdogs, or hotdog recipes or what have you.
