If you already have a console then obviously you don't need a gaming PC

But like, not having a PC at all is kinda maddening

Like for example, imagine having to make a school presentation or video editing on a phone

Overall the vibe on the PC is better for serious work

I use a laptop with a 1650. The CPU is higher spec compared to yours, but you should still be able to run about any game that can run on a PS4 with higher settings at 60 FPS. And everything back. I guess it would suck if you're into modern AAA games though.

Black Mesa runs fine. The best game with the best graphics. So play that.

Fullscreen will always render whatever your desktop is set to, so if you wanna play the game at a lower resolution at full screen you gotta lower your desktop resolution. Dunno why, other UE5 games can change resolution without that step.
Runs around 15-20 fps at 720p. Switching off Lumen and SSR gives me 2-3 fps more, but the look of the game is drastically changed. If the combat wasn't souls like and it was like the old SH games then it would be somewhat playable? (Last image is Lumen off.)

Even with SSD there was still assets popping in. I found that restarting the game helped with pop in when there is a view change in cutscenes. I expect it to be a major headache playing off a HDD.

In old games fog was used to mask view distance, and gave SH it's signature look and feel.

Now you gotta switch it off to get more fps.

In cases like this sites like fitgirl just redistribute the GOG installer, they don't bother repacking
