What would do if you suddenly had 1 billion dollars? What would you do? What would you buy? Where would you go? For me, I'd fulfill my cafe/apartment dreams making it adjacent to the other stores including an arcade, but located on a coast somewhere with all the things needed such as a yacht as well as an RV. Then I'd give my family at least 20 million each before investing a fat chunk of it, maybe keeping 200 million as a sort of rain check.

It's boring, but I would immediately buy PROPERTY. Properties for everyone I know and love. Nothing too huge that would be a pain with upkeep. Just modest, well situated properties.

I'd then buy one or two more and rent them out so I had a continuous income. Put some dosh in the highest yielding bond I could, and forget about it until it matures.

Then I'd calculate myself a yearly allowance for 40 years and invest the remainder.

......or I'd use the whole lot to finance the ultimate video game project with all of my favourite VG directors, artists, musicians, programmers, etc.

Finally build a sanctuary where people can get their heads right and it would have lots of therapy cats. And in a countryside setting something i could easily do with the glorious green ness of my country.

I'd also be boring and mostly use it to live off the interest returns and through investment bonds, but I'd buy a decent house in PEI for myself and probably go through a new guitar every week. I'd probably become a full time TTRPG designer and writer at that point, or at least attempt to.

If I ever had fuck off levels of money like that, I'd definitely go out of my way to cultivate an 'eccentric billionaire' energy. I'd have like a whole floor of my house painted as the colour red with matching furniture just to confuse people, and like different thematic rooms entirely for show.

Well I think the first thing I would do is try to help my mother to get healthy again she has a big problem with her thyroid and that is not always easy for her. Good doctors are unfortunately very expensive. Yeah I think that would be the first thing I would do everything else wouldn't be important to me. If that were done I would probably build myself a small house and I would become self-employed as a train driver start my own small railway company.

I’ve always thought it’d be amazing to collect every major gaming console ever released. From the early Atari systems and NES all the way to modern platforms like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. If I ever had the resources, I’d also want to give back by donating to charities that support gaming accessibility, mental health, or tech education. That way, the passion for games could help others too.
