If you had the power to force a company to make an exclusive go multi-platform, what would it be and why?

I've been wondering about this lately. I get why exclusives exist, to help push hardware, but it doesn't change the fact that when one is forced to make a choice about one's hardware (i.e one is not able to own all major consoles of a generation, something that will become more and more common going forward, I'm sure), some doors end up shut.

In my case, I'd smack Sony and Fromsoftware silly so that Bloodborne would come to PC, finally, so that I can actually play it and see what the buzz was all about. So what about everyone else?

Also Bloodborne. I have a PS4/5 and have played through it multiple times, but I have friends who really want it on PC. It's one of my favorite modern games, and I'm concerned it might be difficult to play in the future, as console exclusives often are.

Other than Bloodborne, the PS3 remaster of Shadow of the Colossus.
I have it on PS2 but this version has the original art direction over PS4, cleaner graphics, and stable framerate making it the best version.

Smash Bros Ultimate

Peak fighting game, really well made, doesn't rely on stupid MOBA-like mechanics and has no live service bullshit, I just wanted to play this with more friends

Mario Kart because it's basically the only Kart game people play, and the game's playerbase would benefit a lot from having multiple platforms
Good point. The closest I can think of that is somethat similar in feel and is readily available is Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart, but that's kind of brain meltingly fast and my brain can't cope.

But honestly, any Nintendo's exclusive. But I'll pick Metroid and Castlevania

Yeah, i love that game, but again, it is way less known than Mario Kart. These games need a higher player base to function well

Make Sony put the Resistance series on PC.

It is vastly underrated, has a very creative and refreshing setting, and with the current landscape of FPS, it would be the best chance to give it a renaissance. And, its a piece of Insomniac's history.

And, if i can push it, maybe bring the Killzone series to PC as well.

On another hand, Banjo-Kazooie. Not enough people has played this game.

It would be nice to see Halo series on the PS5.

I kinda wish there was Halo for the Switch

I don't think it was peak couch multiplayer or anything but if my friends liked it then I like it

Two games series that I enjoy have made their way to the Switch: Ace Combat 7 and the Yakuza remaster. Both games look phenomenal. Halo on the Switch would be so nice if it can be pulled off.

And Microsoft is about as indifferent to it as they can possibly be.
Like the Gwimbly episode from Smiling Friends where the CEO says something among the line "I own this franchise and I'm gonna do nothing with it"

It's the gospel most companies pray by, really.

MadWorld because SEGA's been sleeping on a goldmine for more than a decade and beat em ups are making a comeback

Custom Robo because Nintendo is sleeping on a goldmine and mech RPGs would sell like hotcakes with multiplayer and PvP

Ace Combat 2 since it's realistically the only Ace Combat game that would be most likely to return. 3 is too expensive, 4-6, X, and Zero all have plane copyright fuckery, Infinity is dead, and 7 is already becoming Multiplatform. Also no one cares about Air Combat.

The ORIGINAL Persona 1 with the OG ost, a unique pause screen, and reduced encounter rates.

DoDonpachi II, the only DoDonpachi that's completely stuck in Capcom jail and thus Arcade exclusive

The Imageepoch games still owned by SEGA (7th Dragon, Stella Glow)

Off- oh wait they're remaking that

Saturn SoTN but make it actually run

Castlevania Chronicles because it deserves a second chance and to leave PS1

Most Duke Nukem games but solely for funsies

Mega Man DOS so I can laugh my ass off

Ancient Roman: Power of Dark Side

Japan Studio is dead

Custom Robo is really fun, yeah. With good MP support and a wealth of parts, it could be the next online sensation. As for AC, I think AC3 deserves a vastly expanded remake, nothing short of that.
