PSP If you had a PSP, what would you do?

Well on the Vita, the touchpad on the back was L and R 2 and 3....

The PSP I think you had to hit Select + a shoulder button at the same time to trigger the L and R 2 buttons, but like you, it's been so long that I might be wrong about the PSP.
i believe that you are right. i remember trying to play soul reaver on my psp and i had to hold the analog stick to the side and press the shoulder buttons to simulate the trigger buttons on a psx controller, or something along those lines.

Right again I don't remember....
It was fucking annoying, to say the least. Like with Street Fighter Alpha 2 for the L/R2 buttons doing Combos. The little Trimu I talked about has both sets of shoulder buttons, so that solves that for PSP and PS1 games on the go with it.

yeah, i found it annoying too to press button combos that weren't normal. i mainly stuck to games that didn't need the other buttons like the final fantasy games and digimon world 2 alongside my emulated games for the gb/gba/nes and other random ones that i found.

Ya thats more or less what i did, and like with SFA2 since you could set buttons, i just changed the L/R2 buttons to l/r1

I'd sell it or trade up, but that's me 😅
I hate handhelds..

Play games, I suppose? There are really less painful ways to consume media out there than converting and manually transferring to a psp with awful speeds every damn time I want something new.

Again.... Why I said the Trimui Smart Pro is a nice PSP replacement, no converting anything
And 4 shoulder buttons to boot

Get an RCA cable for the PSP, if you can find one, connect it to a CRT tv, if you have one (works on models 2k and 3k) and play ps1 games. You can also watch old shows and anime on the tv if you do that, as long as they're in a format that the PSP supports. (stuff like evangelion, cowboy bebop, twin peaks and star trek TNG look better that way)
I currently do this a lot, it's awesome to see old anime in their intended way and 240p PS1, too bad that the PSP Go has such a small battery and the only way to charge it at the same time is with that overpriced dock that has this ridiculous price since a decade ago.

I do find fascinating connecting to a CRT this easily with a pocket machine and just watch stuff on it, with just one cable and nothing else.

Sure it's flawed for PSP software anyways, but it really is nice, I might like it more than the 3DS just because of this and the good music player (that doesn't take ages to load like the 3DS one) besides the games of 2 consoles in one.
