forget programing, you've been blessed by genie living inside a USB drive who said you can mod a game you like to be altered in any way. you can change a mechanic in a dated entry to it's more contemporary balance, restore as much lost content as a game has, rewrite the story completely but keep the same core gameplay, or just add Shrek as a playable character to anything. I wanna hear your fun takes!

Personally I'd mod SMT4 to have the original full script that was envisioned, but also have the battle mechanics of apocalypse.

Is it still modding if I just add the other two games that are supposed to come after Loom onto the end of Loom?

/jk Probably backport perfectly all Smash 4 and Ultimate Newcomers to project +
oh! That's actually a pretty good idea! there are still a few stragglers huh?

I'll count stitching games together, after all, we've done that with snes games that AREN'T part of the same franchise. why not ones that are?

In this case, we also have to develop two whole new games from the ground up. Either way, that's my answer lmao

PS2 Dodonpachi Daioujou with the option to switch to the ost of the Xbox 360 port (a port that was pretty much only plagiarised code and sucked ass anyway) and maybe also the PS2's arranged CD as a treat
And yes I also hate the boxart of the 360 version, I think I mentioned that before. It's so overboard.

make persona games remove their annoying and tedious calendar systems.
it makes those games worse to me, the only way around it is "new game plus" because it's less annoying.
Persona 3 4 and 5 could take near 40 hours to REPLAY.

give EVERY star ocean game a new game plus, NONE OF THEM, except second story R have it! and they have MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MISSABLES. on top of unlocking higher difficulties after completion which require starting a whole new save.

add multiplayer to basically every game, imagine if neir automata was 2 players, or bayonetta, or the FF7 remakes! the new god of war with kratos and boy! even RPG games can be multiplayer (FF7,8,9 area all local co-op on ps1 FYI, none of the "remasters" have it) somehow every tales game EXCEPT tales of arise has 4 player local. you can imagine how mad i was after buying it finding that out.

Quarterstaves in a few action RPGs I like or liked. Oblivion, Dark Souls, you name it. I like staves as melee weapons, Skyrim has a really well-balanced mod for them, Demons' Souls had the Phosphorescent Pole.

I'm kinda bored of the staff just being an oversized magic wand in RPGs. Ivalice-based Final Fantasy games (Tactics, Tactics A2, 12) had combat staves as "poles". Katt from Breath of Fire 2 was a speedy glass cannon with her combat staves. I know FF14 has a DLC skin for a dragoon's spears done up like a kung fu staff. Kilik in Soul Calibur, though not an RPG, is my favorite character to play.

More bonksticks, pls. Heck, more spears and other polearms in western RPGs, too. You could even have staves just be a subcategory or one-off version of a spear. Just... more bonksticks, pls.

As a PC player all I'll do is to make it a proper functional game that comes with basic features and performs good. So many games especially AAA now comes broken on PC sigh

I'd love create a full campaign mod for Gothic 2 that's set in a modern setting in some closed off ghettos. It would replace Swords and Axes with Crowbars and Baseball Bats, replace Wolves and Boars with Wild Dogs and Mutated Rats, etc. It would obviously have the standard Zero To Hero progression that the Gothic games are known for.
I even tried my hand at giving it a go but the available tools are jank and paired with the fact that I am not using a Windows machine anymore it's almost like trying to add an ice dispenser to a soviet era fridge.

i want a version of digimon world dawn and dusk, digimon world ds, and digimon world lost evolution (all basically the same game) with 5x experience, and 4x less encounters. really cool games that are unfortunately miserable to play due to an insane encounter rate and type specific experience requirements for digivolution.

if you fix this, they're probably the best turn based digimon games we've ever gotten so far. but i do love hackers memory.

When I was a kid, my friends and I didn't really have a good grasp on what hacking and modding actually was beyond the idea that you could make games do things they couldn't normally do, and for some reason the limit of our imagination for what could be done with such an elusive concept was making Rayman (From the original PS1 Rayman) have a gun.

And that idea is just so stupid and funny to me to this day that I would waste my genie wish to see it come true.

Faithful HD textures + high poly models for Castlevania 64. Also a level editor

I would add zombie mode ala COD Zombies to far too many games, or just various horde survival modes.

If you have played Full Invasion 2 for M&B Warband, that, but for other games.

I'd make a tool called UIModifier that allows you to customize every UI element in a game so I don't have to see another stupid health bar or damage number ever again coming out of characters.

Good god are modern UIs boring, and the bad one's are really bad. is there a specific game you have in mind?

All of them but if there's one game that pissed me off was Guardian's of the Galaxy, I was really enjoying it but man, they had to fuck that game up with such intrusive UI elements.

I'd love to mod some of one piece games and give them more depth, come to think of it One piece from the gaming side didn't do too well and most games feel like they gave on them easily, also I'd mod MGS with all Kojima Silly ideas that he scrapped of his games and see his true vision to the series ::bigboss
