If FFTactics is your fave tactical RPG, what do you have in second place?

I absolutely love Bahamut Lagoon, it's an incredibly underrated game.

Langrisser 2/Der Langrisser
Fuck Yea! I really need to finish that when I find time (currently Parasite Eve is my priority for the month, I blame @dem6n for that >_<). I love the simplicity, and it is still pretty deep with the strategy and how to arrange troops and use skills. Also, the combat is adorable ::heart

I'm not sure I would call it my favorite, but if I had to pick another...Into the Breach, probably? I've spent so much time playing it; you can find custom units to mix things up online if you get bored of the base teams too. (The game would have really benefited from some kind of official mod tools).

View attachment 79325Tactics Ogre is my second favorite Tactical/Strategy RPG only behind Final Fantasy Tactics, I love the story and the characters in this game.

I also love Front Mission 3, it's a fantastic game.

I also really love the first Front Mission and Front Mission 5, these games are fantastic and highly underrated. Some of the best tactical and strategy RPG's ever made. ::heart

Final Fantasy Tactics IS my favorite tactics game. It's rare that I replay tactics games as much as I have FFT. It just hits every time. For runner-up I will choose. . .

FRONT MISSION 4.

Now I'm tired from all that pondering. I must rest.

Like FM3 a lot, but I found the random skill acquisition mechanic a little annoying. I really want to try FM5 again, I remember liking it but can't remember why I stopped.

Looking through my screenshots, I kind of remember now, it felt like it took forever to get to some action: there is tons of people to talk to and often they have nothing interesting to say >_< When I did get to combat, it was fun.

::heart FM4, that might be my choice.

today i finally reached to beat Barich and his monsters platoon, i was trying from a couple of days;
another great battle, i reached being lv 40 to beat the lv 55 enemies, i'm quite proud of this.

now i'm really close to complete FFT again (first time on PSP), so i have already grabbed a couple of other titles recommended here, you know something to avoid the sad empty moment when you complete a great game :)
